The latest version of Etna is 0.3.1. (04/27/2006)

This is still an experimental product so don’t use it to edit important document (at least backup your documents).

Because the developpement of the 0.4 version is almost finished and the 0.3.1 version is old, there is no support for 0.3.1.

The RelaxNG support is almost complete although there are still some few bugs.

Downloading Etna 0.3.1

• linux-i686 version (11 MBytes). Build with Mandrake 10.1
• Windows 2000 and XP version (6.4 MBytes)
• Mac OSX 10.2+ version, PowerPC processor (11 MBytes). Universal builds are not available for this version.

Licence

Etna is released under this three licences :

• MPL (Mozilla Public Licence)
• GPL (Gnu Public Licence)
• LGPL (Lesser Gnu Public Licence)

Installing

1. Unzip the downloaded archive in a directory (use zip tool under windows , or tar xvzf etna-0.3.1.en-US.linux-i686.tar.gz under linux).
2. launch Etna by clicking on etna.exe (windows) or etna (linux) in the etna-0.3.1 directory
3. To edit some XML file, you should register a RelaxNG schema or you should install an add-ons which provides a schema.
